Flicker on dimming from HPB LED interior kit?
Last night I installed the stock brightness LED kit from high performance bulbs. The install was easy as pie and I love how they look.
However, I notice today that they flicker quickly on dimming when I lock the car or am in the car and they go off on their own. Normal? Expected?

LED's dim by a different means than incandescent lights. LED's are dimmed by use of Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) while incandescent are dimmed by simply lowering the voltage. PWM strobes the light so fast you cannot see it and by varying the amount of time it is on verse time it is off the apparent brightness of the light will change. This is also why you see dimmed LED lights appear to flicker or blink when watching a video of them (video framerate messing with PWM frequency).
Since LED's are an "on or off" device based on a voltage threshold they will flicker like that when fed lowering amounts of voltage. That is a long way of explaining that, yes, that is what will happen when you replace normal lightbulbs with LED's.
