When i first coded the limiter function i thought it would be really handy, but i never use it. Also i sometimes press it by accident which cancels the cruise control, so i'm going to uncode it when i get time!

It would be more useful if it would work in conjunction with the cruise IMHO.

the limiter can be useful under certain conditions. For example coming home round m25 abotu 9pm set it to 83mph and just keep foot down. Less hassle then cruise as when trucks / cars pull out you dont need to keep fiddling with cruise to reduce speed. But at least with the camera city on the m25 means no chance of getting flashed when you forget about one. I've been using limiter on wifes B-class for last 5 years it takes getting use to but a good licence saver

Its bloody great, used it most of the way back from Manc. And in the accident jam I got stuck in it takes all the hassle away.

Wouldn't have saved my license last night, its too easy to override when you have a lorry on the A34 doing 56 passing another lorry at +1 mph then when it pulls over and you gun your foot down it just gets overridden!

Is yours manual or auto. Will try it on mine next time on the M3. As still running in so been kipping away from kick down.

On an auto I expect cruise and limiter to be disabled if you kick down certain does on mercs and on previous auto BMWs with Cruise. So limiter as well I suppose one reason they have the speed warning feature in idrive. Got that set to 85 as well

330d so Auto Cruise isn't disabled, when you lift it will go back to the preset lower speed.

About time you started using the paddles, I trust you had it in sport?

You need to be around 4 k revs more often

The limiter is good under certain conditions, down hill it gets ignored lol

I've used the paddles before but this time it was in anger Yes it was in Sport Not sport plus as it was 0.5 last night and wasn't risking the lack of aids Bloody hell its a different animal in Sport and using the paddles, and the way it just grips and throws you out of corners

Yep it totally transforms the car, some people will probably never use them....

It's great on back roads with paddles.

It does make you want to slow down just so you can slam it forward again.

Yeah corners with xdrive are great

I am sure you can get your mpg down to a better level

My mpg for the journey still ended up at 40mpg!

But that was 200 miles motorway from Manc and only 30 miles on back roads!

You need to try harder

I am sure you can get it down to mid 30's

The M6 Toll is fun on the paddles when leaving the toll booth.

Its difficult in rush hour traffic down the m6 and m42!!

The Range Rover next to me didn't think it was fun from the booth. He hoofed it and got about 2 car length before I put my card back down, then the blue bolt got in its stride and eased past

Love that toll booth race!
