F30 N55 muffler on M235i ? differences

Anyone know the difference between a F30 335i muffler compared to one on a 235i?

are the tips more separated? or is a hanger difference?

Im hoping maybe just a difference in mounting hangers, I've done some searching and have come up with nothing , only people saying someone has done it to their F22. I found a good deal on a F30 MPE and wanted to see if I can make it work

They seem to be identical in fitment issues.

Here is a guy in germany who put a M235i performance Exhaust under a 435i.

Both OE Part numbers are different.

I don't have pictures to give you an exact comparison of the OE Mufflers on the 335i / M235i but if you look at the difference between the Supersprint mufflers.

F30 335i : Center Exhaust Inlet, Circular Canister, Different hanger configuration to F22, 90 degree exhaust elbows

F22 M235i : Left Exhaust Inlet, Oval Canister, Different hanger configuration to F30, Exhaust tib elbows are not 90 deg

I can't say for certain that the F30 won't fit on your F22, but I'd wager it would need some minor to major tweaking to work.

Hope this helps!

Seems like it's possible , but not entirely the same fitment , if the deal is good enough I say try it , I'm more worried about the tip placement not getting the muffler attached to the car that seems to be the easier part , if the distance between the tips is the same then it should only be getting it on to hook on the factory hangers, might attempt with a cheap Megan racing Axel back or something before spending even more on MPE/Dinan or similar maybe I'll like the Megan one or maybe I'll fork out the money for a 2 series specific one idk , if you try please post

Has anyone confirmed if a F30 335i muffler will fit properly on a F22 M235i?

IIRC I stumbled upon a thread similar to this. Pretty sure it needed some modifications to fit, but obviously not 100% sure

So. The F30 MPE does in fact bolt on nicely. The only thing is.. The right tip sticks out a little bit longer than the left. I'm going to adjust it tomorrow

Does that mean can be installed with just an exhaust clamp? And it hangs right up on the factory hangers? I only ask because I was told the hangers are apparently different

Same hangers - cut and clamps up nicely. You'd have to adjust the passenger side tip though. It sticks out about a quarter of an inch. Not a big deal but I'm going to get it fixed
