Wiper clunk
Ok, I'm fed up of the Bosch clunk clunk on every sweep, even after a thorough windscreen and wiper clean. Only replaced a few months ago. Any recommendations for the gentle swish swish to replace the clunk clunk?

Are you sure the blades and screen are really clean, cleaning always silences my wipers, even when they are several years old. I simply use white vinegar on a micro cloth, do it a couple of times with a cloth rinse and more vinegar each time. The other issue, do you use a relatively concentrated screen wash to help keep road grease at bay? HighlandPete |

Agree with the others about using BMW OEM wipers, every time I've tried another cheaper option I've regretted it.
Have you checked that the blades aren't hitting the windscreen surround? Unlikely unless they've been damaged, but possibly they've gone out of adjustment? |

I don't use my wipers. I use this instead and it is awesome.
The water/dew whatever just streams off the glass and no need to use the wipers at all really. |

I use Gtechniqs version instead. Above 40 and without lorry spray, rain blows off, no wipers needed - feels like being in Starwars at light speed! Also, wipers are much smoother, glass is easier to keep and get clean. BMW offer this sort of product as an after sales application, I noted recently. Also, general note, don't wash glass with products which have wax in them - this also causes problems. And if insistent on non OEM, something like a PIAA silicon wiper blade (as used on racing cars, as I understand) could be the way to go, though I haven't tried yet. |

Except I use DoDo Juice Supernatural Glass Sealant. Benefits as said in above posts, but also beneficial on frosty days also. Frost comes off easily with a rubber scraper. No need for hard plastic ones or chemicals.
