Seattle/Bellevue - Dealer prep
For those that took delivery of an F8x at BMW of Seattle or Bellevue... how did your car look after they did the new car prep on it? I'm debating whether or not I should tell them to leave the plastic on and I'll detail it myself.
Thanks! |

If you know what to do, do it yourself. Bellevue BMW prepped my car. The "detailer" had no idea what the protective film on the rear fenders are for, and peeled the right side one off, but left the left side on. I had to go back and the dealer had another shop made a replica for me. Which wasted my time and now one side is not OEM part. They also run the cars through their mechanical car wash :-(

I always, always skip dealer detail - I tell them to check fluids but do not touch the car interior or exterior. Just clean the windows. That's it. always.

Good to know. I'll be telling them to just do the PDI and clean glass. I want to take off the plastics and NO front license bracket installed.
Thanks for the input. |

Do you really want a dealer detailing your brand new car? (with unknown quality control of the detailing process, dirty rags etc).. I always skip detail at the dealer.
I highly recommend Metropolitian Detail - Ask for John and Benjamin. |
