Comfort boot opening

Why is it when I'm 'trying' it out, it opens every time, but when I actually have my hands full and trying for real, it just sits there making me look stupid and then I have to pretend that I wasn't trying to kick my own car and shuffle bags to open it the normal way!!

While I'm at it, why have full postcodes on the nav but only partial postcodes on the installed POIs. I would have thought it would be trivial to get the full postcodes for a list of POIs but not having them makes the POIs virtually useless, unless I'm picking the wrong ones.

Minor gripes really, loving the car more and more!

I have the same issue, apparently there is a spring adjustment your service center can make to increase the opening force. Be sure you make it clear to them that the trunk lid is supposed to open fully, I brought mine in left it for several days, they said they couldn't duplicate the problem, when I went to pick my car up, I hit the button on the remote the trunk pop slightly open, not fully, service advisor said it wasn't supposed to open all the way! I asked him what the point in having a "Hands free" trunk release that you had to open the rest of the way??? Oh, he said, we'll check it the next time you bring it in!!! Sad.....

Does your foot wave operate the lock mechanism but the boot lid sticks, or does it just not activate anything?

It doesn't even unlock, I think I must being subconsciously doing it differently, trying to be subtle so I don't look a mug.

I don't think anything is wrong with the car, just poor technique, it seems odd that as far as I'm concerned I'm doing the same movement, but whenever I need it to work it doesn't! Definitely a first world problem!

Originally mine did not open fully. Then found an item in iDrive menu where you can adjust this.
