Thought this was meant to be an 'entry level' model! That's more than I paid for my F31 M Sport Tourer 320d with auto and M Sport Plus and business Nav ( which was a pre-reg but 3 months old with 12 miles on it). Can't believe someone is going to pay £30k for this. I realise it's a fully loaded launch model but still... Way too much

Agree, we specced one up to possibly replaced our 320d 2012 and it came out at £32k. Ok, the base car was around £27k but as it comes with not a lot as standard the options bump the price to 3 series money.

Got one as a loan car! Although it's ok as it's free but I'd never pay that if I was buying!

Does this mean certain people are actually thinking about one IF it was cheaper?

Even with the current engine one up?

I drove a 218 active tourer the other day. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised by the drive. Engine was pokey enough for a car of that purpose! Expensive though!

Talking to bmw salesman about these the other day while in the showroom ( not that I have the slightest interest in ever buying one) and he mentioned the 118 is actually a 1.5 litre lump. Mm mm lovely.

I am not sure what bit of the market segment they are looking at, the entire people carrier / lifestyle is rather cut throat and for people in to that type of transport, there are some really good models.

We used to use Zafiras n my previous job as pool cars, without a decent engine these types of bricks struggle when loaded.
