Car just went in for its first service and when I collected I thought I would check if the light/miles remaining has been updated. Was surprised to see this!

No - I hadn't realised that level of information was available either. I'd only ever seen the summary screen.

The service history bit, did not exist pre-service. Anyway, I think its fantastic and so much better than a book with stamps. I've looked at so many bmw's in the past with fake stamps on the book
