How do I appease the Mrs !!!!!!!
Thanks to all the advice givers on this forum- you know who you are !!! And in an uncontrolled burst of manliness. Grrrrrr
Just been down to Sytners in Oldbury and changed my order in the nick of time from a 330xd to a 335xd. The question is should I mention this to her in doors and how should I butter her up OR should I assume she won't notice the difference as its debadged and assume she will never lift the bonnet and count the turbos. On a positive note have been advised delivery date has moved forward to early January. Looks like m sport brake issues have been resolved. |

So long as you've not changed the colour, what's the issue...

Honesty is always the best policy.
So best to inform of the change from 330 to 335. Remember to explain how the garage cocked up your order but luckily because she 'insert woman reason' you double checked with the garage and by extreme good fortune you managed to get a 335, same engine just a more environmentally friendly engine EU6. See truth is always best policy. |

I'm currently awaiting a quote for changing my on order 335d to a 435d so I'm not looking forward to that talk with the Mrs if the numbers line up and I say yes...she's not the sharpest knife in the drawer but I'm assuming she'll notice 4 doors has mysteriously turned to 2!

My advice, unless she is complete car nut, bmw expert or reads this forum, I wouldn't bother tell her.

One of my customers drops her off for a day at the spa and picks her up later. If she ever checks the nav* she'll think he's seeing some Norfolk tractor driver
*She hasn't noticed the extra exhaust pipes yet so this is unlikely... |

It is actually really simple. You paid the price of xdrive (for price is what it is) to keep her safe. In return you ask for the benefit of the 35d engine.
Personally I think the 330d xdrive is quite the most pointless car on the universe. If you are willing to bear the cost to everything that makes your car enjoyable and rewarding, for goodness sake get the better engine. Yep, I'm a 330d sdriver. If for any reason under the sun I'd had to get the xdrive, I'd have made jolly certain it would be the 335d. |

How much of a price difference is there between the 330d Xdrive and the 335d X drive.
Do they both sit high like my 320d did previously before the ACS springs? Not many near new 335d in the dealer in my part of the world...doh!! |
