Buying black grills

I'm about to place an order for some black gloss grills after getting suggestions on "gloss vs matte" and am trying to decide where to purchase them from. For the people that have them, what is the differences between the ones you can get from different sources other than the price?

The ones from Jbspeed: $95

ECSTUNING: $69.95

Just an FYI, the bottom grills are for an E90, top E92.

I'd save myself the money and paint them myself. Or buy BMW performance grills.

If you have sport/gloss window trim, go with gloss black. Make them match. Just my opinion though

I just ordered mine gloss for a pre-lci. For me it's all about preference. Gloss looks more classy

Guys, I have already decided to get glossy over matte as stated in the OP. My question was which vendor to get them from and the differences.

If your east coast or mid west go with ecs . Both vendors sell good products, reputable, and fast shipping

Ok, thanks. I just wasn't sure. The ones from jbspeed look more of a darker more aggressive gloss black and the ecs tuning seem to be a lighter shade. Maybe its just the picture. ECS, care to comment?

Ours are a deep gloss black just like the BMW performance grilles. The lighting in the studio sometimes makes them look a bit lighter (aka too much light on the black grille).

I've been requested to keep quiet about the up coming sale... but typically ECS products are included in our sale, I would expect that trend from years past to be continued (I think I answered your question without "breaking the rules" )

I have the JB speed Matte black grills. Personally I would not buy them again. So much so that I have debated just buying a different set to replace these.

They feel very cheap. When I remove them from the car they essentially fall apart into two pieces.

I just ordered mine from ECS, too. The price IMO is great and it's made of 100% ABS plastic as they state on the description. I saw them from a guy in this forum and they look very nice. Im excited to receive them!
