Local detailer - assessing?
How can I tell if a local detailer is worth the money? It is cold, my car is new, but very dirty, and I don't have the time to do the job myself.

Ask to see pictures of his previous work. Ask a lot of questions. For example, ask what his steps are in a full detail (even though you only may a wash). If his steps sound good, then you may wanna give him a try.
I repeat, ask a ton of questions. Silly things even. If he's willing to talk and explain, then he must take some pride, and normally people tend to do better than average work when they take pride. JOY |

+1 Clay will probably cost $, polishing will cost $$$. The process is quite time-consuming.

Ask to speak to references. Ask them if they're happy with his work and what they feel seperates him from the rest.
My customers always tell me its the small things I do that count more to them than the major swirl removals I do. Streak free windows is a plus for mine. |
