Preview of the RKP F82 M4 Carbon trunk

RKP has developed a brand new trunk for the F82 M4 cars which reduces weight by an amazing 60% over the already very light weight BMW pieces. Our design gives the car a subtle "OEM plus" look with an integrated spoiler that is different from the typical CSL-style trunks normally available for M cars.

We'll post more information on these pieces soon!

I don't know if it's just the angle of the picture, but the lip seems as if it was just molded on top, or is it all one piece?

Read somewhere that the F82 trunk is FRP. This seems to be full carbon.

As well as a 60% weight savings over the factory trunk. The factory boot lid is a composite trunk and is very light weight, but we were able to reduce this weight even further through a full carbon fiber skin and kevlar reinforcement. In case anyone is curious, below are some photos we took of the factory boot lid

What's that equate to in pounds? Can't imagine the OEM trunk being to heavy to begin with

We only took the weight of the bare M4 OEM trunk and it was 18lbs. Ours was actually 11lbs with the latch mechanism and tails.

Just a hair over 4lbs on both inner taillights, lock mechanism, camera, liner, and bolts. So original approximation stands at over 60%.
