Question Parking the 335i

Hey everyone,

I'm parking my car for the winter. Any advice on what I should do before parking it?

Its a 2009 335i rwd sedan. Just hit 53k

Thanks

Full tank of new gas with fuel stabilizer, tires pumped up to the max. inflation (they'll lose pressure over time, and when you get the car out of storage you can just reduce them to the proper pressure again), and a battery maintainer.

My tank is 3/4 full and insurance expires today.. is it bad if i add the stabilizer 3/4 full and fill it up ? And I put on "beater" tires and wheels so my AG don't go bad .

Yeah you're fine! Just as long as you have the stabilizer in there you're good. Basically it's one of the few additives that actually has an actual use.

if your worried about the battery dying, you can disconnect the battery, but NBA Jam nailed everything else.

Should I start it every week or something ? Or not start it until its time to put it back on insurance?

You can use a battery maintainer, it basically does everything for you. It'll start the battery every now and than. Be sure to keep the battery warm as well and don't let it freeze

I have a subwoofer setup, and the amp uses power from the battery should I disconnect it before putting the maintainer or it should be fine?

The next time you store it for the winter, have a full tank of Shell’s VPower in the tank. VPower is the only fuel in Toronto that doesn’t contain ethanol, ethanol based fuels breakdown faster over time compared to non-ethanol based fuel. And don’t forget to add the fuel stabilizer.
