BMW REMOTE

So I finally was able to get mine to work and tried the turning the fan on setting remotley. It works great after about 20 seconds but wtf it only blows cold air... I left the air on at 80 before I shut the car off thinking that maybe it will blow hot air. Whats the purpose of this function?

I'd love a heat function. But, it gets hot where I live in the summer and this function is definitely going to be used.

Is the remote used from the BMW App on your phone? If so, any updates on when BMW will make the App iOS8/iPhone6 compatible?

What other functions are supported from the App?

Its from my Iphone 6 with the IOS8. You need to update your app and if it doesnt work call BMW Assist and they can trouble shoot it for you.

I have an iPhone 6 with the latest app and the climate function works now. I have an M5 but this will be true of the M3/4.

Well I'm not sure, but doesn't a lot of the heat from the heater get generated by the engine itself? So with the remote I assume you can't heat because the car isn't running b

That fan is only circulating the air, works best for those 100 degree days. If there's residual heat/cold in the coil, it will blow the heat or cool air.

This is what bothers me on cars and cold weather. Tesla can heat a car w/o a gas engine, why do car companies don't heat the car up with electrical coil until the car warms up? It's crazy that we have to wait for the car to warm up to get warm air out of the vent.

I can't get my app to work at all. It just won't let me login in and I have verified all my stuff too.

Works fine for me. Try deleting and re-downloading it?

try calling in again and get the password reset. I had to call in 3 - 4 times but at the end of day got it working.
