Best bluetooth music streaming solution
After trying all three of these I've found the tune2air by viseeO to be the best solution.
The MPOW (on the left) worked on my iPhone 5 but not my galaxy s5 or my iPhone 6. It did not support steering wheel controls or the idrive interface. The Belkin (middle) worked on my iPhone 6. Did not support wheel controls/idrive interface. Plus you have to press the button every time you want to connect it to your phone. Also concealing the wires is an extra step. The tune2air is the most expensive but worth it imo. Works exactly like plugging your iphone4 into the y-cord. I got my tune2air for 69.99 on Amazon. The price seems to be jumping around a lot so keep your eye out. Last edited by 335scott; 11-23-2014 at 05:24 PM.. |

I have one in my Audi - going to get another one for the 335i, works really well except I get a bit of a skip sometimes - others have concluded it is when the bluetooth is attached for both phone and music streaming and the phone connection does an address book update or something, but still the best solution going!

The blackberry one works really well. I have used it for the last year with no problems.

I've been looking for something like this. Does the tune2air automatically power-on and pair when you start the car or do you have to press the button every time?

J. Boost. There is no button. It just powers on when you start your car and connects to your phone automatically. The only thing you need to do is make sure your stereo is in the "CD" mode.

I think he meant aux mode. You get to the aux mode through the CD button.

I used that before, but tune2air lets you control your iPhone and gives you song names Eric in idrive, works exactly like when the phone is plugged into the cable!

actually been looking for one of these for a while now. My setup right now is an AUX cord going out of the middle department into my little coin area where I keep my phone. Do you know how many phones the device can support?

The Kinivo BTC450
http://www.amazon.com/Kinivo-BTC450-.../dp/B009NLTW60 Is also a very good solution with auto pair and also supports the Bluetooth protocol with the best audio streaming quality, called aptX. This is important for getting the best BT audio quality possible if you care about that stuff. For others who want a lossless solution and have an Apple device to use AirPlay with, the AirExtender is pretty great and is what i use. Search my threads and I have pics of my install. http://www.amazon.com/AirEnabler-Ada.../dp/B00EZWVZ44

Thanks for the comparison.
If I have Pandora running on my phone, can I skip songs/switch stations with steering wheel controls? I don't have any downloaded music... |
