carbon rear spoiler

I liked the look of the M product when it came out, but the price was stupid.

took a gamble and ordered the Chinese version and what a surprise. fit and finish was spot on and took all of 5 minutes to put on and looks fantastic. for less than 1/2 the priced of the M bit.

I may go for the front end kit in the spring.

I really wonder that'll look like after a year, but for $190 maybe it's worth the gamble

One line says it all: "Made in China"
Why buy a German masterpiece if you're decorating it with cheap bling from China?

What a narrow minded reply

Not all made in China products suck

Not all made in America or Germany products are good

This is pretty obvious

i saw this same wing.. would love to see a pic of it from standing near the door and looking towards the back of the car.

i was going to buy one and figured for $190 if i get 2 years out of it thats still 1/3 the cost of the M one. at that rate i can buy a new one every few years and still come out cheaper!

Yeah talk about narrow minded.

Remember Back to the Future where Marty is telling Doc that all the best stuff is made in Japan?

China != Japan

Personally, I will never purchase replica parts because I do not support those who copy the hard work of others. It's not even an issue of quality, it's the principle.

I no longer trust parts like this, though I sincerely hope this works out for you OP. I paid a good bit of money for carbon fiber interior trim plus a really cool carbon fiber steering wheel for the e60 M5 I used to have. The stuff looked stunning for the first four months. Then it started to discolor badly. After six months, you could barely see the carbon fiber weave under the epoxy or whatever the hard glaze is over the carbon fiber. It really looked bad. I had to take it out and put the original wheel and trim in before I could sell it. The company that made it was Nexon Motors, by the way. Avoid their stuff at all costs. It looks amazing at first, but in months is trash.

I don't understand how a $250 difference for a part you're putting on an already 70k car can make THAT big of a difference financially.

I had chinese CF mirror caps on my e92 M3. It looked great when I first got them, and I was happy like the OP... but after a year or two it started to look really bad. The clear coat was pitting, and it looked like it was separating from the CF weave underneath. The problem was, I couldn't get myself to pay again for new ones so everytime I looked at them, I got the same feeling I get when I look at a door ding or curb rash.

At $465, the OEM spoiler really isn't that much more expensive if you are already paying for $200 chinese knock off garbage. Don't be cheap... get the real thing.

Because it shouldn't cost that much to begin with. I know what the material cost and what goes into making them. Penny's on the dollar, actually.

You make it seem like 70k is a lot for a car. This is the least expensive toy I've picked up in a decade and it's as fun as I expected. Great value for the dollar.

Here's an idea: Pay what you want for your bling by whom ever and I'll pay for mine as I see fit.

The concept was there is a good product that matched the overpriced M stuff.

If 250 is not a problem for you, then cough it up and get one and see for yourself.

You seem perturbed by my comment, I hope yours lasts as well as my OEM E90's did. Enjoy your least expensive toy in a decade there bud....

So you think that the BMW Performance CF parts are made in germany? Read the engraving/label on the inside
