Remus axle-back exhaust!!!!

Got a chance to install my Remus axle-back exhaust this weekend. The build quality is great, sound is awesome, and oh man I love the tips! As for the sound, definite improvement over stock and a nice aggressive tone without being obnoxiously loud. Big thanks to Mike over at Extreme Power House for this. He was great to work with and will definitely be going back to him for more!

Looks like I should have pulled the trigger on this instead of going for the MPE I won't get from the deal.

This sounds great!

Sounds sweet. How would you compare it to the MPE?

Enjoy!

Thanks. Hard to say as I haven't heard the MPE in person. Just going off the videos I'd say the Remus might be a little louder and more aggressive but I wouldn't say there is a huge difference.

Actually sounds to me as if the Remus is quieter than the MPE, I am interested in buying a Remus as well but I’m not looking for something quiet, but rather more aggressive
I would be interested in a comparison between a Remus setup and MPE side by side, comparing between them in different videos isn’t worth anything.

Looks and sounds good anyhow!

Remus axle-back is not quieter than MPE, but if you are looking for something more aggressive you can get the Remus Cat-Back

I'm looking for something noticeably louder than MPE but not totally obnoxious as it's a DD. I have an obnoxiously loud car and motorcycles. Do you have side by side video comparing the two? Or could you describe your thoughts on the sound differences?

Thanks,

N

Unfortunately no side by side comparison.
In terms of how loud the Axle back and MPE sound, they are very similar but Remus has a deeper and sportier tone in my opinion.
From what you are explaining, the Remus catback is what you are looking for.

You're welcome! I forgot to mention that I have not added any other mods that may alter the exhaust note. Not yet anyway!

@Iceman51sn , it sounds very very good, but if I may give you my opinion, I found my MPE louder...

Here's how my MPE sounds (jump to 0:36 seconds):

Could it be the different cameras we used? I used my hero3+

Nope I also used a hero3+! Do you have any other engine/exhaust mods? It could very well be that you are indoors and I was not? Anyway they all sound great to me. Yours sounds good too!

Hey Iceman, thanks for your comments about my MPE, I really love it hehe.

Well, I was not actually indoors, I was on my office parking lot and it is only partially covered, I have a terrace right above my car and the rest of the parking lot is open. But, maybe you had your Hero3+ with the plastic all over skeleton (which it ruins audio actually) and mine was just using the open frame?

And no, I haven't done any other mods, just the MPE, I'm tempted to do so but, my local dealership in Guatemala voids my warranty if I do more mods

cheers bro!

Ah I see! Didn't mean to come to any conclusions just speculating that's all. And I also had the open frame. Sorry to hear that about your dealer, but hey at least we are both enjoying our exhaust! That's all that matters!

Correct. I thought I read Remus had a cat back video on their site a couple months back but was unable to find it. Sorry, but I'm sure it sounds awesome!!

We will have turbo back videos posted soon
We also would like to announce that Remus will be introducing a race version on the 235 exhaust, that is even louder than the cat-back.
Extreme Power House will exclusively have couple sets available for lucky testers

yes in the remus video it is a turbo back but using a remus DP with a cat, not sure how big of a difference it will be to using the std DP and cat bolted to a catback.

a catles DP would be awesome!!

mike@x-ph.com what video do you have?
