I had this on my S5... It's easy to install and kind of James Bond cool. However I never put it on either of my M's.

Any experience with using these plates while driving around? If I've had a beer or two I'd rather keep the plate out displayed! I'm getting a motorized plate instaled into the lower front grill on Thursday.

What I did on mine was put some soft padding on the back of it... so when it gets fully open it doesn't keep hitting the bumper with hard plastic.

Also, the install shouldn't take more than 30min. It's really simple and all you need is power from battery or whatever. Then you can use the remote button to open and close. I paid 100 bucks for my hide a plate device back when I had S5
