Question POLL: 1x1 or 2x2 Carbon Fiber Weave

Hey Everyone,

I'm about 2-3 weeks out of releasing the M-Performance front lip without the splitter and side skirts.

What I'm wondering is, do you guys prefer the 1x1 weave to match the roof or still prefer 2x2 even though it won't all match?

I personally was going to go 1x1 but a couple folks have said they prefer 2x2 and don't mind the mismatch.

Please share your insights. Thanks.

Michael

1x1 matches the roof.

Since all the M Performance parts are 2x2, I think it's more important to match those bits, rather than the roof.

However, I prefer 1x1 between the two... It's much classier IMHO and I wish all M Performance bits were made in 1x1.

It's odd to me that the MP parts are 2x2, just makes me think they didn't really make those parts specifically for the M3/M4 owners

I'm honestly torn. I like the 2x2 better but I also like it all to match. The dealership is offering me a pretty sweet deal on the spoiler/diffuser/splitters but I personally don't like the look of the splitters and might just dish out cash for a RKP diffuser and Mode Carbon spoiler in 1x1 weave to match the roof. But I agree with Merli that it's more important to match those bits than the roof so if I did go M Performance than 2x2 it is.

I have the m perf spoiler and planning to get the diffuser, so I'd like the splitter to match the all m perf parts, not the roof.
Are you going to make more parts? like the diffuser?

I would have to get enough demand to do this.

I "prefer" 2x2, but would get 1x1 to match the roof. My OCD tendencies get in the way...

I don't think 1x1 looks as good as 2x2 but matching sounds good too

So to make it clear. This will be the CF lip for the owners not looking to put on the splitters thus there will be no "gap"

I think the middle has to have a gap in order to have the flat style we are all looking for. However the sides under the splitters is where there shouldn't be a gap.
