M Performance Exhaust

Hi guys,

does anybody have an M Performance exhaust? If so can you please tell me if when you start up the car, if only the drivers side exhaust seems to emit sound/smoke?

I suspect the exhaust is set to only open one flap on startup, then open up both once the car is running?

Is there any way to set to open up both flaps if this is the case?

No I don't have one, yes it has a flapper, and yes you can rig it to stay open. Search the forum

Press sport mode before start up and both valves open, it effectively creates a straight through as opposed to re circulating the exhaust gases, where's the pleasure in being an Eco warrior . The sports exhaust in combination with the selected mode instead of recirculating gases twice by- passes gospel according to BMW emergency services veteran

Don't think you can change driving mode prior to startup...

Press ignition button once (feet off pedals) car powers up change driving mode , press ignition button again start as normal (auto/manual)
You can actually hear flap valves doing something by switching between modes after 1st power up button press

You can also just unplug the cord that controls this as well. I left mine off
