Since I have just bought my car and yesterday I put a clear bra on it I wanted to know where are you all guys washing your cars, which car wash do you all recommend.

I live in Sugar Land - pretty much no place to take it there unless you want scratches and swirl marks all over your car. I would obviously stay away from any automated places - hand wash only and only in the hands of detailers.

I know Vive can get expensive, even for a basic wash they're in or around $60, but you would be better served by just doing it yourself.

I wouldnt trust anyone other than a few detailers in Houston to actually wash the car.

Can you please tell me who are those detailers in Houston where I can go for a car wash without having any headaches after I get my car washed?

What IMMLaw said. Anson is great. I believe he does house calls, but also works out of EVS motors on bellaire. He did some paint correction on two of my cars and came out amazing.

Unless you are doing some hard core paint correction or detailing, you should do it yourself. Invest in some good cleaning equipment ( I buy my stuff from chemicalguys.com).

See bolded/underlined.

No one can take care of your car better than yourself. For an easy wash and such just do it yourself to save money and possible pain. For corrections and special occasions, etc. go to Anson.

It is not about saving money here, it is just about not having big headaches or running after an idiot with a tomahawk because he has scratched my car or teared down my clear bra...

Anson... NEVER ever will I go there. Excessive Detailing forever for me. I think I don't have to post also here the crappy touch-up paint that he did on my car... but there it is, Anson all the way.

First 3 picures are before his "genius" job and the last 2 are after.

So, next time when I will hear the name Anson and Vive I will just run away like a rabbit.

The bumper is done now and it looks like nothing was there but not done by Anson. After doing that "nice" job I asked him to take it out because I won't stay with that on my car. No chance to get a refund or something, I would not have paid him from the first time but they said that it will dry out and it will be better...

He offered to compensate with some other services but no way for a refund... I wanted to go for a car wash, I programmed myself but after that I said no way I am going to walk in there in my whole life.

I second Personal Touch. Russell does great work, and has been doing it for a long time. I've used him for both of my prior M3s, and was scheduled for a detail last Thursday but we rescheduled due to storms. Would not think twice about recommending him.

Can you ballpark what Russell charges for services? Washes/full detail (sealant or wax)?

Should be around $400 for full detail (interior/exterior/engine bay) and what he says is a "3 stage wax". I can vouch for the fact that he does apply some sort of wax/sealent and remove it three times. I assume each is a different product, and as far as I know he uses all Zaino products. Close to a year after the application water was still beading off.

Tell him Ben with the M3/M4 sent you and that might help you get a deal, but probably not

(sorry for the slow response)
