Is it true I should not wax on 1st 3 months?
I just did and my car has only 3 weeks. My friend freaked me out telling me that I'm not supposed to wax the car during the first 3 months because of some clearcoat blah. Is this true? If I screwed up what's the solution? thanx.

nothing could be further from the truth. I clayed and waxed mine the day I got it. By the time you get the car the paint is cured. "Back in the day" before modern paint technology and clear coating you couldn't wax a car right away, but now there should be no worries.

If you get your car repainted this is true, however, new from the factory, there is nothing to worry about as phantom330 stated.

yeah, you can't wash/wax right away if it's been repainted, due to the fact that they can't bake the car. But at the factory, they send them through a giant oven before installing anything. You can wax the day you get it.

Seriously, that is the most redonkulous thing I have heard all day. Well, since I left the office, anyway. Wax on, grasshopper.
