Finally Picked up my car..
well saturday morning I finally picked up new 2008 335xi coupe.
what an unbelievable car... well worth the wait. I ordered a TiAg w/ Coral red and aluminum, premium, sport, 18s, navi, heated seats. Im not going to write a whole long spiel on what I think about the car because, well, most of you drive a 3 series and have your own opinon. I will say I am thrilled with my purchase and cant wait until I can take it above the 4k RPM break in limit. However, I will post some initial impressions against my last car, a B6 S4. Let me start by saying that this is an apples to oranges comparison because they are two very different cars. While I still am a big supporter of the Audi brand, I have to say that BMW has gotten it right with this car. The biggest differentiators for me were steering, suspension, and style. The steering in the 335 is very sharp, even in the xi, and very responsive. I was impressed by the feel of the wheel, and even the actual wheel itself. I really felt i could point and shoot with this car. Coming in and out of corners the car felt much more agile than my b6.... yet still had to torque to really pull through the turn. As far as suspension is concerned the car had far less body roll and felt more nimble than the s4 in the turns. All in all a more sharp feeling all around. Finally, this car is just plain sexy on the road... the lines are sharp and clean....and Coral red = awesome. I look forward to spending some more time here and getting to know everybody! 335 coupe FTW!! |

Congrats NY, sounds like a rare color combo, one I'd like to see. Too bad you're in Westchester, a nice place to pass through. Very crowded roads with way too many trucks for my tastes. Get up here to NH with your Bimmer and take it down the Kancamangus Highway, a 32 mile smooth and twisty passage thru the White Mountains that is driving at its best!

lol I nominate MTV for briefest posts.
It's unusual to see TiAg with coral cuz some consider TiAg to be a conservative color; entirely opposite of coral. Pics plz

As far as TiAg with Coral.... it looks great.... especially with the aluminum trim. It was the color combo that the sales manager had at the dealership and it sold me... Originally i was going to order SG. I will get the pics up as soon as I can. Thanks for the compliments all! |
