MP Front Lip Install Question

Whats it supposed to look like?
1.)

OR

2.)

Notice the gap between the lip in picture 2. This is how mine turned out. I prefer how it looks in picture 1, where the lip covers all the body color.

However, if its supposed to look like #1, I have no idea how to do that. The lip is simply too small to cover the entire body. Open to tips or suggestions. Thanks.

He is referring to the little visiable white line on pic #2, right in front of the lower vent passanger side. The decals in the kit are supposed to be used to alliviate this issue.

Interesting. Mine was put on by trusted tech at dealer, and he never mentioned any decals in the box. We actually unpacked it together and fitted it up.
Now, mine was an April 14 model, so maybe they changed.
I just looked at mine, it has the small white paint line showing, but I actually liked that---in that if it was all the way up, it would appear to be sort of "overlapping" the black matte grill.
BUT to each his own...am VERY pleased with it as is. Hope you can get it to your satisfactions.

Spoiler comes with a black surround decal in the installation kit, dealer didn't bother to install it on mine either, actually think it looks better anyway especially if not fitted with care you can see were its been trimmed, instead of the at least clean lines of the actual moulded spoiler part

I didn't use it on mine since it is Mineral Grey...it is not even noticeable....was lazy I guess. And when I read the instructions it said to remove the side grills to put the stickers then reinstall the. Seemed to be a PITA so I just didn't do it. The track car didn't have them installed either that is why you see the white gap.

Now if I could only get those damn side sills....

Ah, thanks for the replies everyone. Did not use the black decal, makes sense. I think I'll leave it without.

Anyone known what those rubber bands are for that are included?

On a related note... how easy is the install? Do you have to drill into your front bumper to install this?

Does the lip usually come as one piece with the splitters or are they separate attachments?
