FRM from totaled 335i? (for headlight faults)
Hey guys, i have a 08 335i, it has adaptive headlights and angel eyes for DRL and welcome lights (im guessing mines FRM2) But my driverside headlight has been out for a while (changed bulb, ballast and still doesnt work, plugged it into passenger side and it works though )
Im guessing my FRM is fried from what I have researched. Theres a 08 335i being wrecked in my area, is it possible for me to get the FRM from that one and put it into my car? I still need to check the wiring (apparently the ground may be shorting) but since I've had this problem for months, it worked for a day after clearing the short codes from the FRM but then stopped working after one day then randomly worked again a week later but has since stopped working again WHat would be the best way to go by things? The code message I get is "driver side low beam out" or something similar, I can see the bulb moving when I got my friend to start the car so its just not getting any power!!!
