Is BMW MP BBK really good?
HI Folks!
There is a great improvement for the brake system after installing it,but have you ever noticed the rotor weight?both of the front rotor are 4kg heavier than the stock rotor, and I think if you changed a set of forged wheels and after that you install the mpbbk, the weight you have saved on your wheel are offset . thus it will influence your acceleration .so is it really good? |

The MP BBK, is more for looks over anything. It performs well, and will likely be more than most people will require anyways.
Pair the MP BBK with some improved pads, stainless steel lines, and brake fluid, and you'll have a very serviceable set of brakes, both on street and on track for some light to moderate tracking. |

It seems to be lighter to replace the oem 370 disc, any comments?
These drilled and slotted Stoptech rotors replace the very pricey dimpled and slotted rotors found on the F30/F32 M Performance accessory kit. These are the larger 370mm discs that were used in the M Performance accessory kit originally available through the BMW dealer. M Performance brakes are easily identified by their red, orange, or yellow/gold caliper colors. These Stoptech rotors will also fit select M Sport brakes (blue calipers; see applications below). http://www.turnermotorsport.com/p-19...35xi-pair.aspx |

My stock 328 brakes felt just as good. The pedal feel got a little better, but stopping is, ehh. Also, after upgrading to the MP BBK I now have this annoying harmonic humming sound when braking 40-15mph. They look cool though

It's the same size as the M sport brakes, just the better rotors and pads. I rather go with 6 front and 4 rear for a real performance upgrade.

Bimmerworld's F30 328 race cars run base brakes. Obviously with upgraded pads, lines, and fluid. Yes, their car is much lighter, but still. M-Performance is all looks....and they look damn good on my car

+ 1 To what everyone else said.
It is an improvement, though probably minute. If you're looking for performance, the easier options would be to change pads, lines, and fluids. This alone would make a WORLD of difference. If you want a BBK that's a night and a day difference, you'll most likely have to look outside MP. There are much more "aggressive" options out there.
