Over 370 BMWs bound for New Jersey port damaged in shipping

Hope this isn't a repost.

What I'm worried about is that some of the models will be repaired and sold. Can BMW sell the repaired cars without informing the buyer that the cars were damaged?

I thought that it was illegal for an automotive repair shop to repair damage and not report it.

Also, do you guys think BMW is going to discount the repaired cars?
