6 month with my 435I GC the good and the not so good

i usually never write nothing , however i think i should share my 435I 6 month Experience

the good

**the Car is beautiful
**i have a MPPK kit , the car driver great however the MPPK is noticeable only in sport Mode , so this is ok , the kit is worth it , i would recommend
** the HK system is very good, better than the Bang and Olfsun i had in my previous Audi S5
**the original Idrive and the Navigation system is very goods

the not so good:

**the Car rattles, it is a noisy and hard, everything on the road you will feel inside the cabin each and every noise.

**the quality of the plastic inside the cabin in my opinion is not high
the car developed plastic noises around the Nav screen and in center console

**this car requires high quality road, in road is bumpy and hard the experience is not pleasant

however in General i love the car

19" wheels and sport suspension what do you expect? Should have gotten DHP? Downgrade to 18"s?

I will agree that I think the interior of the BMW is not great. I prefer my Audi S5. It just has some nice little touches like aluminum rimmed buttons, more robust seats, etc. That being said I do really like my 428i GC.

the wheels

i would say that my previous S5 Audi also had 19 wheels and was not so hard as this one, however this is not an issue for me , this is not a problem for me

I have the Msport with summer tires plus DHP and live in NJ, some of the worse roads around and have no rattles and find the ride incredibly smooth. Looks like you're ready for a Lexus

I have to agree with all your pros & cons.

The interior is very disappointing, they could use better material to enhance the feel and my hatch is rattling, and I am running winter 18" non run flat! On 20's this car must be a nightmare with rattles.

Sound system is awesome...

What are you guys listening too? The HK upgrade sucks. I own a business and have bought over 50 vehicles the last 20 years and currently ranging from Toyota RAV 4s (2013 model) and a GTI (2010 model) both have better sound systems than the HK upgrade. Have many pickup trucks (total of 7) and MOST of them have the stock Ford or Dodge sound systems WAYYYY better than the HK.
Music is a big deal to me and the HK is so average- this is my 5th BMW and true to form- the sound systems in all of them (3 ea. E46, 1 ea. Z4M) have sucked bad. Obviously not a deal breaker as I have spent 1500$ to add some shit but really its not as good as everything being stock. Is it that hard to add better components and charge us for them? BMW charges for everything else- why not a REAL premium stereo. Love the Mark Levison in the Lexus- BMW not even close.

If you want to hear a really bad premium sound system, try a Maserati Ghibli! 4500$ for the sound system that sound like sh..!

Agree. The HK is disappointing. The base system in my 2010 A4 sounded better IMO.

Am I the only one who has no complaints about BMW interior? My last two cars rattled a lot, things didnt fit so well and were still great cars. I love the BMW interior. Its no Porsche but in any case still a great job on interior quality, imo beats audi and benz models in similar price points. Lexus is better overall as far as interior quality but thats a different breed of car altogether.

Swap the run flats for some real tires and your ride will improve drastically. Mine did.

Thanks for sharing. Without DHP, the ride is a bit hard, but not harsh. RFTs don't help either. However, I have no rattles any where and find HK to be a worthy upgrade without going aftermarket.

when i have received the car it was rattle free, the rattles developed in time
during six month , however if you have a rattle free car, lucky for you

as to the HK i think it sound great , my previous audi S5 had a B&O system that in my opinion was not good.

Sound systems are always objective. I consider myself as an audiophile, but like my base BMW stereo just fine.

As for the ride, you have the passive Sport suspension, as do I on my current 328i. The ride is meant to be firm and the chassis stiff to limit roll. Active suspension would have solved this for you, but that's an expensive fix over the life of the car when crap starts to go wrong. If you lease, next time get the DHP.

Run-flats are known to be quite noisy tires, maybe try diff set of tires.

Noise is the only reason why I won't buy a 3/4 series again. It's a shame, I love the car otherwise.

No, you're not. BMW doesn't do bling. They never have. Lots of folks just can't get their heads around that. The quality of the F3x interior is basically the same as the E9x. Overall both the F3x and the E9x have improved quality over the E46 and the E46 was significantly improved over the E36.

But making observations like that are boring and don't stir the pot.
