Enabling BMW apps

Hello

I searched, but I am completely lost.

My 2011 e92 with iDrive was manufactured in 10.2010, so it didn't come with BMW apps.

I was wondering if it is possible to enable the feature on my car and how to do it.

Many thanks

It will require this: http://www.bimmer-tech.net/shop/bmw-...a-pnp-retrofit

Combined with this: http://www.bimmer-tech.net/shop/bmw-...-apps-retrofit

Your car is old enough that it does not have the COMBOX Media installed. Also, BMW Apps is an FSC activated option so you need to pay someone who can generate the FSC code in order to get it.

I got all this already:

The Combox Media PnP Retrofit Kit will add the following features to your car:
Bluetooth integration
Bluetooth Audio
Album Art Covers
Office menu
Support for Apple white cable
Internet*
BMW Live*

The only option I don't have is bmw apps. So, I have to pay $399 just to activate it?

Correct. BMW made it an FSC controlled option in late 2011 so you have to find someone who can generate the code. And that ain't free.

Never thought it was, but damn. That is steep.
