COLD
So, anybody in this freezing cold weather have their TPMS throw a fit over these temps? I got out of work...11deg. All 4 wheels are showing low pressure. I filled in 50 degree weather last. Guess it's time to freeze may hands off and fill again.

Seeing as how the low tire pressure warnings continued to show up on the extended display and the HUD as soon as I tried clearing them, I braved the cold this morning (3 degF), paid the damn ripoff $1 at the gas station and raced to fill the tires before the 3 minute timer expired.
Thought my fingers were going to fall off holding on to the metal nozzle. The pressure was surprisingly low due to the temps....all 4 were roughly 10 psi too low! |

that happened to me last month when it was only around 30F.
One of the tires keeps getting low pressure warnings(every 2 weeks) so I decided to take it to the dealer, and it turned out that there was a tiny nail Had it replaced for free since I have tire & wheels 'insurance'...Not sure if I would want to go to that stealership again after the 'insurance' expires - they wanted $400+ for replacing a tire. |

BTW I think it's normal when TPM throws warnings when it's cold outside...but 10psi sounds way too low - and not safe at all.

Yeah I doubt it's a nail because it's all four tires and they all came on at the same time. I'm also surprised that they had dropped that low. It was literally no warning on one day, all four alarming on the next. Granted the temps dropped about 25 - 30 deg in that one day. Someone posted a simple formula on how much one could expect it to drop per degree....I'll have to dig that up.

mine went off at the beginning of the season say some time in Oct or November when temps first dropped. Been quiet since.
