Today I took my car to get service with mods on

Got a low pressure fuel sensor code weeks ago.(from JB4 code read)
I decided to get it fix while still covered by CPO. 49.7k/50k

Since I'm very confident that none of of my mods would cause that, I took it to BMW dealer and they fixed with all the mods on. (JB4 disabled MAP0 )

First, they told me without the check engine light on, a inspection needs $150 to do.
(I told them the engine had a few rough start up, and I scanned it with a tool that I borrowed form a friend)

Then I asked the adviser to talk with the mechanic about the mods that he will take out, and they actually let me into the workshop to inform/show the mechanic some areas they need to be careful with. (mod's washers, clamps and stuff)

Took about 4 hours, they loaned me a Active Hybrid 3 to drive, since their shuttle cars were busy.

In the end, sensor was replaced. They deducted $100 from the $150. So I paid $50 for the fix.
They even rewired the BOV vacuum hose for neatness, which is awesome.

Good job BMW New Country

That's awesome. Reading these types of threads gives me so much faith in BMW dealers versus the Chevy dealers I'm used to.

That's awesome. I'd stick with the service department if I were you. My local dealer wouldn't even put on my supplied "aftermarket" brake pads when it went in for a CBS.

What The!!! The cpo deductible is now $100??? So expensive to the point its not even worth having the warranty. How much is the part and how much is the book labor on that part?? How much u think it would be at an Indy??

That's crazy. I went in for work (not warranty) that I was going to pay for and got a lifetime ban from my dealer...

that was about 3 years ago now.

Of course they won't care, until there is an issue and the mods are found- then see what happens.

Thanks for sharing this, dealerships vary so much in their approach to business and when you find one that takes a reasonable approach it's fantastic.

+1 for New Country BMW in Hartford. .

I bought my car there a few months ago, and had some stuff fixed under warranty shortly thereafter. My experience was also positive.
