Good "get through the break in period" drives (near Seattle)?
So ... I need to put some miles on my new car. Any suggestions for good drives this weekend? Still on summer tires, so going east is likely out. Next weekend I'll be headed down to the Portland area, so my wife would prefer to not head there this weekend.
So fun snow-free drives on the peninsula or to the north? |

Dude join our legendary QFC gang (working on the name). We do a lot of stupid shit together just for the hell of it, and the best part? Our drives. They are always complete fuckups, but we are a laidback group of engineers and foreigners.
Wyoming is always my choice ... And I have the most miles done in mine, and all in style.

During my break in period, during week nights, I drove the I-405 - I-5 loop. From where I live, I got on 405 from 520, then take 405N all the way to the I5-405 exchange, then I-5S, and then loop back up to 405N than go home.
That is about 60 miles and takes 1 hour at night with no traffic. I did that a few nights and it really helped to get me to the 1,200 mile service faster. I also drove to Portland and Vancouver, BC during break in. It took me less than 3 weeks to get through the break in period.
