Where do I get shadowline trim?

Any place actually sell it already?

I don't want to paint or wrap it. I want the actual real glossy nice stuff.

Anyone know?

I've heard the wrap winds up looking really good, and is durable if you use the quality 3m 'cast' vinyl. I plan on doing that to mine once the weather warms up a little bit. 20 bucks beats the hell out of 400 bucks.

Oh I missed that, no problem. For half the price I'd take the matte haha.

Off topic, but here in NY we have a drive thru car wash called delta sonic. It's slowly stripping away my the top edge of shadow line trim. So now just the top is silver/chrome.

Anyone else have this issue? I'll post photos later.

Mine was wearing thin on the top edge also. Not bad but barely starting to show. Lucky I'm under factory warranty still and had it replaced last week. Looks so much better!!

Indeed it does lol I was going to do a trim swap with another member but the body shop took his bottom pieces off and I think they were not usable. The tops are easy to take off and put on but the bottoms require taking off door panel and side mirror which might not be a pain to some but I know if I do it they won't go back on perfect lol and I'll have water in the door and all that shit lol plus I think on the 335 the bottom trim pieces are unusable once you take them off because they are metal.. Some people have had success but I know I wouldn't lol moral of the story unless your super good at that type of shit it's best to just wrap or dip..

I got hit by another driver changing lanes in to me last summer. When it was in for repair, they broke the bottom piece taking it off and had to order a new one. The piece that came in was black, not chrome. They called me after they had already sent it back, I would have paid the diff probably to get the rest of them done. This was before I had any faith in the wrap.

I feel you man. On getbmwparts.com just the top pieces alone are $380-$480 EACH.. It's redic man.. Shadowlinetrim the 3m vinyl is like $27 a roll.. Those large prices on there are the comparison to the actual trim pieces of you were to buy them oem. As it was explained to me by NGEE. Also, the roll that you get is plenty enough even after you screw up the first time lol.

This link may help. The difficulty with the shadowline film is getting that straight roll to conform to the curve of the trim, especially around that rear window. One person on the thread said they bought regular sheet vinyl and cut it to the shape of the window trim before applying it.

I know you said you don't want to paint or wrap, but those are really the best, most cost efficient ways. Definitely worth it.
