New guy intro

I've been lurking for a while, but I figured I'd finally post something. I picked up a 2011 335i convertible in the beginning of November and so far its been a real fun car. Has just about all the boxes ticked, M-Sport, i-drive, 230 wheels, nav, increased speed limit, H-K audio, and all the rest. I wasn't totally sold on TiAg, but finding a CPO car with M Sport and a 6MT proved to be a pretty tall order. Its grown on me quite a bit since I got it. Haven't done a whole lot to it yet, I picked up the M tri-color stitched alcantera wheel about a week ago, so I guess thats mod #1 down the slippery slope.
This is my fourth turbo car. Had a fully built Honda single cam that was a blast to drive, but became somewhat impractical as I got older and needed more than something stiff and loud, so I kept it and bought an Audi A3 swearing I wouldn't mod it. Well, Stage II+and all the boltons later, family necessity made me trade the A3 for an Explorer Sport, which, don't get me wrong, is about as fun as a family and crap hauler can be, but its not quite "fun". So after a bit of persuasion and prodding, the wonderful wife said I could get a convertible so long as it had 4 seats. So here I am. Glad to have a car that I really want to drive again, as opposed to only having one that I just need to drive. Not planning to go completely nuts with this car, but I'd be kidding if I said it would stay stock. I like to work on my cars to the extent that I'm able to diagnose and fix them, so I've been picking up some of the tools that I didn't yet have but it looks like I need. Already got the Bentley book too. My dad has an e46, so I've worked on BMWs before, but from reading around, some stuff with this car looks like a real pain in the neck to fix, but doesn't look too much different from fixing VWs. I'm sure I'll figure it out when I need to. Unfortunately, it snowed here tuesday, so the car's probably going to be parked in my garage on a trickle charger for a while, but I guess I got pretty lucky to get 2 months out of it before I had to park it 'til spring. Already can't wait for warmer weather.

Welcome!
I'm not a huge fan of 230's, but they look awesome on your car. The setup with your drop is killer

No drop, stock M sport suspension, must just be the wheel arch shadow in the photo.
Photo was taken at one of the overlooks on Skyline Drive in Shenandoah National Park.

You are trying too hard chump. If you are going to quote me, at least quote my whole post, it's pretty clear to anyone with more than 3 working brain cells I was being friendly when I complimented him on the scenery in the background. So what's up with those 3 brain cells brother?

But to answer your question about late to the party, well yes, our cars were first made in 2005 and are no longer produced. So he's late to the party, some of us have been here a bit (2010 for me, other people since 2006).

So what really upset you? Mad about the new 3-series much? Did i hit a nerve? How about you chill out. Perhaps it that you are making 72 month payments on a used '11 and have to see the shiny new 3's everyday? Tell me what really is bothering you...

Lol buddy, you're clearly the one that's upset and your jealousy truly shows in your post. Bottom line, stop being an immature douche to new members because you're salty.

Can you fill me in on where you got all that from? I welcomed him and complimented him on the scenery.

So again chump, what's really bothering you? Upside down on a 2011 72 month loan and want out ? Must hurt seeing those new 3's around and knowing you are paying so much

You really had to dig deep to twist my words around into that explanation. I give you points for being imaginative. Let me paint a picture for you buddy. I am in my mid-20s, no kids, no wife, no debt, well-paying job, in a part-time masters degree program, and I'm purchasing a home in the next month or so. To put it lightly, I am very blessed. You talking about money troubles from my car is beyond comical to me since my car is paid for and it's exactly how I want it. The last thing I am thinking about is purchasing a brand new 3 series because I have my priorities in line. But please try harder next time to be an e-bully, keyboard warrior.

Anyways, making little side comments truly shows your jealousy/maturity and accusing random strangers of having money troubles is just you projecting your own issues onto other people. After all, you drive a 2006 for a reason and you're probably the exact type of person that gets upset when you see a younger person driving a nicer car than you. I'm done with this silly argument. Stop being a douche to new members. Let them enjoy their cars without your little side comments.

Too funny little johnnie. If you go back and read my first post I think everyone here will agree you are the only one twisting words.

So I did hit a nerve....

You remember these threads where you talked about how much you like those F30's ...
