Any car techs familiar with scantools?

Was looking into snap on ethos plus. Comes out to about $2000 with euro. To pricey

Then I found autel md802. 300 does everything comes with every manufacturer.

I have multiple cars in the family with 3 bmws. One issue right now is my wife's e83 x3 has 4x4 light on. So I want something that can read this.

Snap on is overpriced but I can pay weekly also if it doesn't work for me I can return it. Autel or any other brand you buy and your stick with it even if it doesn't work.

Any techs got Input on scanners and bmws

Autel Maxidiag MD802 is just like the MaxiDAS DS708. MD802 enables the user to not only get into the enhanced OBD-II system with mode 6 access, live data and graphing, but it also allows a technician to scan the entire car, ALL makes, ALL models, and ALL modules just like our DS708. Moreover, the Autel Maxidiag MD802 can quickly Read and Clear codes in ALL modules for European, Asian, and Domestic vehicles 1996-present, can Live data graphing for the ECU. We can say MD802 is a tool to do it all: reads and clears trouble codes on engine, transmission , airbag, and ABS failures
