Question about battery replacement and AA tune

I was hoping to get a reply from andrew over at AA but since my battery has been acting up pretty bad with the clock resets and harder starts at times due to the temps I feel like it's ready to die and should be replaced asap (It has been a few years).

Will this mean I have to get my car tuned again with AA software? Since I will be replacing the old battery with a new Duralast AGM. I understand the registering battery part but will me removing the old battery and installing a new one without a backup power mean I have to reflash the ECU or will that not be affected in this transition and I just have to do the relearning of driving habits post tune again.

Since it's the weekend, most indy shops are closed that deal with Bmws in my area. Or should I wait until the weekday and get it done outside or at the shop that did my AA tune in the first place.

What's an AA tune?

Sounds like your battery will die any time now. If the current battery is not AGM and you replace it with an AGM battery you will need to change the VO and recode CAS to reflect this as well as battery registration.

After battery disconnect adaptions will be reset. As far as I know this shouldn't effect what remap is installed...

Thanks, its the Active Autowerk tune for the N51. The old battery is AGM from BMW.
