KW V3 Coilovers (Install and Finished Photos) / Black Betty M4 / TAG Motorsports
As many of you know here at TAG Motorsports we like to be able to show you the latest options and provide feedback as often as possible. Having Project "Black Betty" for over 6 months now, we have tried out a few different suspension set ups. We first started off with H&R super sport (F32) springs as that was all that was available. Different options started to emerge. We first switched to the KW Height Adjustable Springs. They have been great all around, but it was time for a fully adjustable solution. Along came the KW Variant 3 coil over kit which is available for the adaptive and passive suspension optioned cars. We like to try a new set of wheels about every month. The KW V3 coilovers are perfect for that allowing us to adjust the ride height from 1.57-2.56 front & 1.18-2.36 rear. The 'Black Betty" is equipped with adaptive suspension so the KW electronic dampening cancellation kit was a must. When installing coilovers, your car would show an error code since the stock electronic dampening suspension is removed. With the Error cancellation kit you wont have to worry about check engine lights, errors or warnings. If you have any questions at all regarding any of the parts you see, please feel free to contact us by clicking HERE or Call us at 888-920-1766. Stainless steel strut/shock bodies and composite spring perches for superior corrossion resistance Separate adjustments for compression (14 positions) and rebound Stiffer springs over stock for less bodyroll than the standard suspension, After install it felt like I was driving a completely different vehicle. The car felt planted to the ground and feedback from the road was drastically improved. Going over dips where the springs compress and decompress, the car stabilized itself in a matter of milliseconds and we were able to slam the car achieving the look we were after. Thanks everyone! I spent the past week putting some miles and dialing the setup in, and I haveto say the ride is absolutely unbelievable. It feels really good. I really do not miss the adaptive suspension at all (thought i really would).
Give us a call if you have any questions, We have a few sets in stock ready to ship out, and if you want any detailed information do not hesitate to ask! |

I just installed this kit on my car last weekend. The only trouble I'm having is setting up the compression/rebound correctly for just general driving and mountain twisties. Somewhat aggressive. What did you guys sets yours at if you don't mind me asking?

We just ran what they were out of the box. We are pleased with it so far. Once we it take it to the track and really push it, that's when we will start fine tuning it.

How much higher could the car go? It sits too low for my taste. Can you comment on ride quality v. the HAS kit with adaptive dampers?

The car feels more planted to the ground. The feedback from the road was drastically improved. Going over dips where the springs compress and decompress much faster. Overall coilovers are the best suspension upgrade you can do. It all really depends on what you are trying to achieve. If you like and want to maintain the factory ride and take away the wheel gap, I would suggest the KW Height Adjustable Springs. If you desire a suspension set up that you can fully adjust for the street/track, also having the ability to lower the car more than the KW HAS i would suggest the KW Coilovers. |

What alignment options do you have with the KW V3s?
I will likely not get out to the track much, so don't think I need either of the Clubsport versions. Thanks in advance for your help. |

Rear camber, rear toe, and front toe are the alignment options on the KW Variant 3's.

Thanks for the quick response, David.
How about front camber adjustment? Should that be a concern for me? I definitely don't want to have the front tires wear prematurely. |

Can you send me a price for the kit with the module for active suspension cars?
