Steering wheel replacement

I just picked up a 2011 e90 335i M Sport. Love it!

The stock M sport steering wheel is incredibly worn down considering the low mileage (38,000 miles).

Is this something that would potentially be covered under warranty? If not, can I replace just the leather on the outside?

I know of Coby Wheel, and was thinking about an Alcantara wrap, but I'd appreciate being educated on other options. I don't want to spend $700 on another wheel. Thanks!
