e90 Mid Life Facelift

Hi,

I have seen the most recent e90 MidLife facelift spyshots (autospies 16/01/08_

Would anybody have reliable information of when the facelift model will be in production in Europe. I have read recently that the facelift was to be launched at Geneva in March. If so when is it likely to be available to order

May? September? or later?

I would imagine it would be for the 2009 models. So May, June 2008??

BTW, those Autospies shots didn't look very 'facelifted'.

Most people on this board believe it will be the late 2008. (Sept-Nov). And the facelift should be very conservative like the recently 5 series facelift. Should be changes within the light unit that the external shape will still correspond with the same sheet metal design.

Nov 08 is most realistic guess at this point... and as said previously it shouldnt be much more dramatic than the 5 series nextgen looks

I bet the facelift will be produced from september '08, after the factory workers come back from their august holiday. That's usually the case, if it doesn't come in march '08.
BMW historically introduce (by this I mean actual production starts) new models or facelifts either in march (E90, new X5 etc) or september (E91 for one, as far as I remember).
This in Europe anyway, models may take some time to get released stateside.

If you study the new pictures from AutoSpies, it looks like the facelift includes the same kidneys as the E92 and the 5-series got. The upper chrome part we know is gone from under the camo boltet to the bonnet.

Yup, I really liked the E92 grilles. It is the original BMW grilles compared to the Bangle grille style on our E90 and the 6ers (E83?)
