Just ordered my set of Style 405 wheel set, help with new tires please?
Hello my friends, I've been wondering around the web (tirerack, apex) for a set of new wheels for my M235i. What I was really looking was for a perfect fit (no spacers, special modifications, etc) and for nice looking lightweight forged wheels that doesn't cost me $8000 like Vorsteiner's quoted me for a set
So after waiting a long time for Apex to come with some nice options in 19inch, I finally decided to go with the OEM forged Style 405 in 19", which is a perfect fit, lightweight, not cheap but not extremely expensive and imo, great looking wheel. Now, the assistance/guidance I kindly ask from you guys is to help me out deciding which tire brand/model should I choose from. I will need 225/35/R19 for fronts and 245/30/R19 for rears. I'm not looking for track style tires, but high performance ones that have good grip on dry and wet (and durable too). I have an E90 LCI with Nitto Motivo's which are really, really great but I'm not able to find them on those sizes I mentioned I honestly thank you in advance for your guidance. |

LOL, yeah I was tempted to ask the dealer just that when they send me their response
"Alejandro, For M235i the 19 inch VSM-310s are a great option. For standard finishes they are $8800.00 shipped per set and are made to the most aggressive standards to have the best overall look on the car." I guess the price is due to they are custom made to the exact car specifications, but anyway, I don't have that much money nor thinking on spending that on a set of wheels hehe |

You have lots of options for the 225's: http://www.tirerack.com/tires/TireSe...35&diameter=19
more limited for the 245-30's: http://www.tirerack.com/tires/TireSe...30&diameter=19 The Yokohama S Drives and Pirelli P Zero Run Flats seem to be the only complete set available on tire rack at those specific sizes on the high performance categories. Unless you have really good roads and have limited options on wheel choices, why not consider 18 inch wheels or even 17 inch wheels (cheaper tires and more forgiving against poor roads)...... just curious. |

As I said, I already purchased a set of 19inch style 405, so considering 17" & 18" (which I currently have) is not an option, but thanks. |

As far as I can see, the choices I gave you are what are available at tire rack which are the Yokohama S Drives and Pirelli P Zero Run Flats. Really limited selection on the 245-30's so lots of luck in your search if these choices are not acceptable. |

Wow, really? Are they that good? And better than the Motivo's? That's a solid statement man, thanks for sharing!

It is very difficult to find those sizes. Do you think the 19x7.5 wheel in the front would take a 235/35 tire and the 19x8 on the rear could fit a 255/30?? Will I have rubbing? Thank you again for your help |
