SG E90 Paint vs. SG E92 Paint

Is it just me, or does the sparkling graphite on the e90 look darker and better than the graphite on the e92?

Are you referring to seeing it in pictures, or actually seeing two cars side-by-side?

It can look different from certain angles and light, but it is the same color so there is no real difference between E90 and E92, (throw in E91 and E93 for that matter).

i've seen it in person and although it has the same paint code (A22 i think), the e90 is darker and does not emit the eggplant shine in the sun. it's even more obvious in the pictures. take a look at the pics from the santa cruz drive. you can see the sg e92 being lighter than the e90s.

The panels of the coupe are a little flatter and might reflect more light...just a guess?

So true, so true.......................

SG looks different on the coupe because the body panels ARE different and therefore reflect light differently than the sedan.

Case in point............. I ***LOVE*** Black Sapphire on the 335 sedan but on the coupe the black metallicness doesnt look the same so the the color doesn't look as good to me BECAUSE the shape/body panels of the car are different....

Same with the old X5- I love Black Sapphire but it doesn't look as good on the old X5 as it does on the new E70 X5 because the body panels and shape are different............
