M3 replica bumper voting

Can people vote on the different M3 replica front bumpers?

1. Store (JGmods, europartsautostore, rlinesport, rwcarbon, etc.)
2. Fitment quality (perfect or mention modifications)
3. Bumper and fog light quality (no defects, good primer, etc.)
4. Customer service (1-5 rating)
5. PDC and headlight washers, yes or no?
6. Your car, E90 or E92?
7. Where did you put your license plate?
8. Where did you buy your fog light H11 to 9006 adapter?

Much appreciated, I need to buy M3 bumper but would like to know that more than just one person has had success with particular store. There is probably some overlap in sourcing between stores, but there are also differences.

I too am interested in these results. I seen one at Extreme Powerhouse that I was going go get.

What mods have to be done to the air ducts behind the bumper?

1. rlinesport on Ebay
2. Painted and installed myself, no issue whatsoever
3. No issue with bumper quality, foglights work fine
4. No issue with customer service. Ordered on 12/4 got it on 12/10.
5. No PDC, no washers
6. E90 330i

Got foglight adaptor from http://www.ebay.com/itm/230699380176...%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

In the middle of LCI Conversion, that's why hood is unpaint

Funny -- I just got my rep painted this weekend.

Got it from Ebay, can't really go wrong if you read the details and see what it is. I got non-PDC with a tow hitch cover + fogs.

Just be sure to test fit before you slap it on. Mine fit decent, probably 8.5 out of 10.

1. Store - RW Carbon, based out of CA and a Vendor on this site.
2. Fitment quality - I'd give it a 9 out of 10. Fitment was SUPER tight. It was really quite tight around the bottom of the headlights, my body shop was tempted to trim some off, but I figured it would be better tight than gappy. My body shop it was a really nice quality polyurethane bumper overall. I also purchased a carbon fiber V-Style lip (havent installed yet) but by holding it up to the car, fitment looks ok (7 out of 10). More to come on that.
3. Bumper and fog light quality - Good quality out of the box. Mine came with non-projector fog lights with 9006 bulbs. I did not need to buy a harness because my OEM bumper was an Mtech/Msport, so the OEM harness was the same.
4. Customer service (1-5 rating) - 5! I worked with Eric from RW Carbon via PM, email, and phone. SUPER responsive, VERY helpful, QUICK shipping. Hassle-free!
5. PDC and headlight washers, yes or no? - I did not order one with PDC (my car does not have that feature) and I opted not to go with headlight washers in order to have a cleaner look, so I disabled the headlight washers via coding.
6. Your car, E90 or E92? - E90 335i

Nice thread! Thanks...I am about to do the same. Did anyone have any issues with the wiring harness for the fogs or have to change out the wheel arches are are they plug and play?

For the M3 Replica, you have to remove an air duct on the passenger side because the M3 fog light housing is in a different spot than the OEM bumper.

I went from OEM Msport to M3rep. The wiring harness was the same for me (9006). The majority (dont quote me) of M3 reps come with 9006 fog lights, so you'll have to figure out what your OEM wiring harness is.

No changes on the wheel arches, everything else was plug and play.

I bought my M3rep from eBay and it's perfect fit. I do need to buy a converter from H11 to 9006 for the fogs.

1. JGMods
2. Body shop installed it but it looks great. No gaps or anything and they didn't say they had trouble getting it on.
3. Bumper was shipped to the shop so I never saw it before installation. But everything lines up and the fogs work just fine.
4. Customer service I'd rate a 5. Quick to reply to questions I had and even though the bumper was initially scheduled to be delivered to my home instead of the body shop, they were quick to have it re-routed and paid the additional fees.
5. PDC and headlight washers, yes or no? No to both
6. e90

You can see a pic in my avatar and if you click on my name I think. Looks similar to ComptonAssDaniel's

Supernation on eBay. I did not like the fogs that came with the bumper so I bought another set of E60 fogs on eBay for $33.

Would you guys recommend glossy or matte black grilles to go with the M3rep bumper? I currently have the standard metal grilles.

I've installed two different bumbers from the same vendor.

1. JGmods
2. Fitment quality was spot on. Just removed the air ducts for fog light clearance.
3. Bumper and fog light had no dings, stratches, and any other imperfections.
4. Customer service gets a 5 star ratings.
5. PDC and headlight washers, yes or no? No
6. Your car, E90 or E92? His car with the M3 bumper, e90. My car with the MSport bumper, e92.

Gloss
I'm not a fan of Matte black. Keep it classy with gloss

Any extra work needed to fit an M3 rep bumper with the factory oil cooler and the M3 fogs on a pre-LCI E90?

Just need to remove (or trim) one of the air ducts because the M3 fogs are positioned differently than OEM. No biggie though, I took mine off completely.

I would prefer to keep the ducting to the brakes, and definitely to the oil cooler functional. Do they just need to be trimmed/shortened where the duct's meet the bumper? Are the ducts still functional after trimming?

The way I see it, its still getting air because the foglight grill has cutouts so air is still moving past, its just not directly channeled like it is with the air duct. So far, my oil temps are the same as before.

Trimming shouldnt be too difficult. You only need to trim the duct that channels air to the oil cooler, not the brakes. The only reason why you need to trim is because the M3 foglight housing ends up hitting the duct. So you just need to trim it back far enough that the foglight housing has clearance.
