$225 for a side view mirror

something flew up from the road and put a 3" crack in my drivers side mirror.

called BMW parts dept.. $225 for the mirror and 2 hrs of labor at $100

going to cost $500 for a mirror?

I just called 2 more parts dept.
turns out the basic mirror is $72, but eh premium package mirror, ie auto dimming and heated costs $225-$299

and labor is only 1 hour at $80........

does it need labor? i've broken the mirror a couple times, and you just buy the piece and pop it back on yourself.

I have no idea, I know it has a bunch of wires that connect the heating element.....

I meant to say $450 for the whole mirror, glass included, so $225 for just the glass is off the charts

+1. ANy wires will be plug and play (clips on the end...no splicing).

The price is reasonable. I paid $350 for a mirror replacement on a Chrysler 300M and they wanted $250 labor!
