E93: any difference between "Comfort Loading" and just partially closing the top

The manual has this convoluted description of how to activate comfort loading to access the trunk with the top down. It seems to me like just holding the BMW symbol to partially close the top the regular way does the exact same thing.

Am I missing something?

Never mind...I just figured it out at lunch

The "comfort loading" maneuver closes the rear with the top halfway up so you can open the trunk lid and load that way.

I think it's just quicker to partially close the top the regular way and load/unload by leaning over the side of the car. I'm such a heathen.
