Hey y'all,

After much researching on this and other forums, I think I've come to the realization that my CIC module cannot be updated without having an OPPS/ICOM system. I want to update to v42 of sp-daten so that I can activate ConnectedDrive and finally start updating my software via a usb stick like my car should have from day one (See my thread here), but looks like I won't be able to.

So I guess my question is, is there anyone in the Houston area who has the hardware and would be willing to do this for me for a reasonable price? Any dealers/indies anybody knows in Houston that can?

I suppose that dealer can't do it. They are only able to update whole car to keep the i-level in proper state. To update CIC to 42 you need WINKFP and ICOM A+B (B is to connect to MOST-bus). There's no chance to update it using USB cable or something like this.

The whole process isn't complicated, there are three modules 63, 62 and A0 all these must be programmed using 6802 port (MOST). Good power charger is necessary, at least 30A.

I completely agree. That being said, the cost of buying an ICOM system and a good battery charger would probably still come out to more than I would pay for a dealership to update my whole car to the latest firmware AND get an FSC code to activate ConnectedDrive.

That why I was wondering if there is anyone in my area that already has it that I could either loan, or have them do it for a reasonable price.
