So I just got my e92 335 and I immediately was told to get this flash done. Not expecting much of it I paid for it and got it done anyway. I had contacted Alex at Alpine Motorsports in California and utilized their remote tuning and coding feature. I must say that from then on I was very pleased with my experience. Alex is the absolute best with customer support, bar none. I had emailed him a few times to make sure everything was clear to me before paying and every time I was responded to within mere hours. He made sure I was fully aware of what was going to be done and gave me the choices of coding I could do. I sent him my choices and setup a tuning appointment. The link he sends you to get your laptop setup correctly for the remote tuning is very clearly laid out and simple to understand.

Within 10 minutes my car was tuned properly and ready to drive and I must say what a difference it made. The next morning I had a "problem" (for lack of a better word) with what was done and contacted Alex immediately. Again, within minutes I was notified to setup my laptop and he was to check it out a second time. He told me that my "problem" was already coded and that I was just impatient which is ok by me because I know I am. The whole experience was a blast and I'm glad I did it. For the price ($125 usd) I cannot complain; it's like driving a whole new car.

I recommend anyone who wants to do this contact Alex at Alpine Motorsports and get the ball rolling with him. Not only was it done professionally but I was proved to that any problems would get fixed immediately. On top of all that Alex is a very friendly guy and will definitely work with you in making sure you are happy. Period, no questions asked.

it's true but some people simply dont have time to do it on their own, that's why they are using other people services and this is great for both sides. Time=money.

Which flash did you use? Apparently there is a better version that has a better D mode. I might give it a try soon.

You can buy a tranny module from a 03/07 and up. That's an expensive upgrade though.

Yeah, and I assume it's not as simple as swapping the module and plugging it in am I right?

It's actually plug and play. But takes a little disassembling. Once installed, it's just as easy to flash.

No options that I know of. The reason I went with this company to tune my car was because of their experience and expertise. Every question I had was known by the guy I worked with from the beginning. I assume because of that they can modify (if needed) any codes they use to work with your specific vehicle.

As mentioned in your other thread you also have the older FRM1 which limits what you can do lighting wise.

That's good to know! There's hope for my E90 after all! I'm taking a C++ class this semester currently so coding BMWs is very appealing to me. I was researching the coding forums out there for quite sometime then I got kind of discouraged when I found my production date lol.

Hmm interesting. It says the main one is for the n55, but I was always under the assumption that it was made for the n54 and is compatible for the n55? Also, the flash says for twin turbo. My n55 is single but not sure which one to flash.

Don't pay unless you are computer challenged, don't have time, or are scared to brick your car...

This coding is easy and for those that haven't done DVD In Motion ... It's been working for me for more than two years.

Hey guys I wanted to bump this instead of creating a new one. Can anyone direct me to the part number to the transmission module I need to code? Is this the only module I will need for the B3 flash? My production date is 10/06 as stated above.

You can't get the Alpina flash due to your man. date. Unless you install a module from a 03/07 transmission.
