Pathway lighting and Panik alarm coding not having any effect?
I own a 2011 LCI E90 320D M Sport Auto. After recently starting coding and successfully coding Digital Speedo and instant MPG, and starting to feel a bit more confident I wanted to try coding:
Panic Alarm Pathway lighting via fob trunk button I have made the following changes: In DWAI module, I have changed PANIK_ALARM from nicht_aktiv to aktiv In CAS module I have changed SONDERTASTE_PANIKALARM from nicht_aktiv to PANIKALARM In NFRM module I have changed HEIMLEUCHTEN_FUNKSCHL from nicht_aktiv to aktiv My car has the factory alarm and doesn't have auto headlights switch. The coding changes I have made are definitely writing to the car as readouts of these modules afterwards shows the changes I have made, however neither of the new features is working. I have tried leaving the headlight switch in the ON position as well as the OFF position before locking the car, but pressing the boot open button on teh fob does nothing at all whether I press once or hold it in for 5 seconds. The only thing it does is open the boot once I've unlocked the car, exactly as before. Any ideas what I'm missing? I've searched and found similar threads but it seems people are having success once the above changes have been made. Would really like to get these features working, and help appreciated. |

No I don't have xenon lights, just the standard LCI halogen with rings.
UPDATE - I've been out again and read out the CAS and NFRM modules and I've found the problem. It seems to be to do with the order that you code these two modules bizarrely? If I code the CAS before the NFRM, it doesn't work, however If i code the NFRM first, then the CAS, i've go tit to work! It seems when doing the CAS first, when you code the NFRM, it seems to rest the CAS line for SONDERTASTE_PANIKALARM back to 'nicht_aktiv'. Doing it the other way around, the settings remain. Odd, but happy that it's now working correctly Hopefully this might help others that experience this issue. |
