BMW coding tool error

I've used the coding tool successfully many times on my E92. I want to add the daten for E70s to do those as well. I keep getting this error when I try to update with the E70 daten. WinKFP updates fine. What am I doing wrong?

That's a new one to me. Start task manager and make sure EDIABAS or any of the standard tools isn't running in Services.

That wasn't it. I got the latest daten (54.2)froma link from Shawn over on b I m m er fest. His stuff is usually spot on so I don't think its that either

Make sure the affected folders aren't marked as archive or read only.

That was it. Just had to go back and uncheck "read only" on the files that the error popped on when I was updating the daten. WinKFP updated fine either way.
