How do I know if my car has adaptive suspension?

Could someone share with me how can I know if I have adaptive suspension?

Getting to realoem.com doesn't help much, because its catalog doesn't list specific parts that fit my VIN number, but all parts that fits that series with a lot of considerations/disclaimers that to be honest, I don't understand. Getting to my local dealer is not very useful either, their answers are ambiguous...

Here's the main details of the car that my VIN number displays in realoem

Any pointers? Thanks!!!

All m235i's have adaptive as standard I believe. Do you have it based on that list.

Put your vin into an online tool it should show up as a feature.

My bmw tells you everything you need to know as one option

or a generic vin decoder like the following

Thanks again Killramos , if I have adaptive suspension, the code SA2VF should come within the details, right? If it doesn't, I don't have it, correct? Because I just tried it and what it displays is:

S704A M Sports suspension

So in conclusion, I don't have adaptive suspension?

Don't trust the codes ;-) In some parts of the World the adaptive suspensions is a standard in some other countries you must "mark" the adaptive suspension if you order your M235i or 228i.

If your suspensions looks like this: http://blog-int.kwautomotive.net/ada...lay-coilovers/ bybase valve at your damper strut or damper housing you have an adaptive suspension.

Thank you for your note man. I need to find out if I really have it or not hehe... but, I installed my style 405 brand new wheels + tires on Friday, looks like I won't be needing the springs it looks pretty cool and kind of lower with the new wheel & tire setup

You don't have adaptive. The VIN decoder will certainly show SA2VF not S704A.

Yes you're right you have the passive M sport suspension and not the adaptive one.

But just by asking if you have it then this prove that you don't have it

Difference between Comfort mode and Sport mode is quite noticeable on bad roads...

thanks but that is why I asked, because I do feel a very dramatic difference when I switch from Comfort to Sport mode over my country's uneven roads

I think that "sensation" is not a proof that we do or don't have adaptive suspension.
