fog light bulb upgrade advice plz

I have a 2011 328i coupe, non mtech, and while the headlights and angel eyes are HID/white the fog lights are still halogen and yellow. I want to upgrade them to maybe an LED bulb but I am having a hard time finding a reputable place to buy some good bulbs for this application. Recommendations on a vendor or website plz???

You might try a simple blue halogen bulb. I prefer Osram Cool blue intense or Phillips Bluevision ultra.
Pro:
Plug and play
Looks good
Con:
Not LED or xenon (No bragging rights)

The diffrence

I didn't realize 328i coupes come without HID headlights?

Just buy actual HID Fog setup from HighPerformanceBulbs - that way you can get exact K color match to your headlights.

Not too expensive, EZ install. I've had 35W HID Fogs on my E92 for years with no problems. HPB kits throw no errors, but you would still need to code out the Cold/Warm bulb checks...

Of course they will be more than a set of $8 halogen bulbs, went thru a bunch of different types of those before I got the HID's - you get what you pay for

My 2011 e92 has white angel eyes and HID low AND high beams. It works and looks great. I also have seen plenty of other LCI e92's around town(stock as well) with identical angel eyes and lowbeams so I'm pretty confident my car came with them from factory(I didn't buy this car new).

I definitely want my fog lights to be around the same color temp though, I'm guessing 4500-5k range, but I don't want to do a HID conversion and just want a plug and play white bulb. I understand it won't be as bright and such but it's more for aesthetics in this situation.

If you look at my post above, thats exactly the option Im advocating.
Osram Cool Blue Intense and Phillips Bluevision Ultra are at around 4500-5000k. White enough to match stock Xenon Low/highbeams and LED Angeleyes.

HIDs are a good option if you want maximum lumens, but if you just want the look, blue tinted bulbs are easier, cheaper and almost as bright.

I gotcha, I read it wrong above. I however don't want a blueish tint to the lights, just plain white. Is there a link you can provide to the product your suggesting? I can't seem to find the bulbs you mentioned in h8 size.

The blue tint on the bulb doesnt make the light blue, it makes it white (see example above).

Both the Osram and the Phillips bulb are availble in H8, just google the name of the bulb and add H8 at the end.

Cool blue intense on UK Amazon
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Osram-64212C.../dp/B00N8WGI62

Cool blue from Lichtex (Very good company in Germany)

I just swapped my with the GP Thunder 7500k halogen blue bulbs. To be honest, I think they're almost perfect. From closer than. Few feet you can tell they have the very slightest yellow tinge, but further away they look perfectly matched with my OEM xenon low beams and even my OSS headlights.

Forgot the second pic. As you can see, from further out it looks fantastic.

For $20, you can't go wrong.

I have a 2011 335i E90 with factory xenons. I bought the Osram CBI H8 bulbs to replace the yellowish stock AE bulbs but was disappointed and thought they did not look that different from stock. Actually bought 2 sets and was gonna use the others as fogs but decided not to. Gonna try another brand instead. OP I hope you like them better than I did.

You could try the hyper blue, but they are "not road legal"
http://www.osram.com/osram_com/produ...jsp?productId=

I had some MTEC 4750K that matched my LEDs perfectly, but light output was awful.. Sure, It looked like xenon, but it didnt put any light on the road.

Just saying that the bluer the bulb becomes, the less light you get on the road.

I don't think the Cool Blue Hyper is available in H8.

Have you tried these?:
